The competition will reward best performers and most innovative companies
At an internal
conference to be held in Kumu on October 20 we will learn which
enterprises are to join the ranks of winners of the Swedish Business
Awards 2009 competition. The competition is taking place in Estonia for
the first time and aims to inspire enterprises to think about
innovation, to inspire others and to draw inspiration from the
experiences and endeavours of other enterprises.
Enterprises have been able to nominate themselves in three categories:
- the fastest-growing Swedish company in Estonia;
- Act of Corporate Social Responsibility of the Year;
- Innovation of the Year.
A
panel of experts will select three candidates from all of the
nominations received in each category. The final selection will be made
by representatives of the Swedish Embassy, executives of Swedbank and
the Swedish Export Council. The Swedish Business Awards 2009 is not
merely aimed at Swedish companies in Estonia: all Estonian enterprises
who have shown outstanding results in the fields could also nominate
themselves in the categories of Act of Corporate Social Responsibility
of the Year and Innovation of the Year.
This marks the
start of an important business competition in Estonia, and next year we
look forward to active participation in Swedish Business Awards 2010.
The Swedish
Business Awards was founded in 2006 in Lithuania. The organiser of the
competition is the Swedish Export Council in cooperation with the
Swedish Embassy and Swedbank.
