European Union Supported by 84 per Cent of Citizens in Estonia
According to the survey organised by the research company TNS Emor, support for Estonia’s membership in the European Union remains stably high as at September of this year – 84 per cent of voting-age citizens of Estonia support it. Support has remained at the same level since May 2007. Estonia’s membership in the European Union is not supported by 13 per
cent of the people, 3 per cent cannot answer the question.
The percentage of Estonians and other nationalities that are citizens of Estonia and support the European Union is equal.
The
adoption of the common European currency in Estonia is supported by 47
per cent of all inhabitants aged 15-74. Among Estonians, the support
for the Euro is higher (51 per cent) than among other nationalities (41
per cent).
There are fewer people opposed to the Euro than those who support the Euro – 45 per cent.
The
level of support for the adoption of the Euro in Estonia was the
highest at the end of 2007, when 52 per cent of all people aged 15-74
expressed their support.
TNS Emor conducted the phone survey
between 2-9 September, among 500 people aged 15-74. 393 of these were
voting-age citizens of the Republic of Estonia.
The survey was ordered by the State Chancellery.

500 persons don't reflect the real situation and the real opinion of the citizens of Estonia - it is only an opinion of 500 persons choosen occasionally (or among the friends of the orderes of survey - questionary).
It's real fraude and falsity to say "the citisens of Estonia" instead of "500 citizens' opinion".
Such surveys serves to the Estonian Government to deceive the public opinion and to hide the truth and the real opinion of the people, to manpolate the public opinion.
There is no any control about the questioners' behavour - they can falsify the results ;-). You should uderstand it. All previous "surveys" were always only the fraud.
Falsity and fraude are the values of European Union?

500 people are actually a good number. If you knew a bit about polls and statistics, you would know that TNS Sofres for example uses samples of 1000 people for countries such as France, Spain or Germany. 500 for Estonia is consequently high. However there are other factors: interviewed people have to be independent to each other and representative of the population. It seems to be the case here as people are aged 15 to 74.
Anyway, it is obviously always possible to influence the results depending on how the question is asked and always necessary to discuss the %. However I am pretty sure that a company like TNS would NEVER falsify the results of a survey! How can you be so sure to claim that "All previous "surveys" were always only the fraud"????
cheers!
I say that all previous surveys made by privat societies were and are only the fraud because this "syrveys" have always the results which make content the orderer.
People are non content of these "surveys" and make other "surveys" by themselves, and the results are always different.
For example the "survey" on Russian Delfi :
http://rus.delfi.ee/poll/index.php?...
Are You glad Estonia is in the European Union?
2930 persons answered the questions:
yes - 14%
generally yes - 19%
no - 34%
generally no - 13%
I don't know - 5%
It's the same - 15%
The same question on the Delfi in Estonian:
http://www.delfi.ee/poll/index.php?...
2118 persons answered:
yes - 59%
no - 21%
the fird version I'm not capable to translate well: kuidas kunagi - 20%
People are tied of continious falsification and manipulations, that's why they do their questionaries for verifying the official version.
You can find some other version in Internet and journals too.
The comments are very interesting too and worth reading.
And if we will do a referendum, the result will be different! A survey is only a survey and not an opinion of the citizens...
Best regards!
Helga,
are you totally brainless??
how can you compare the results of Defli Eesti and Delfi Russia. Of course the results are different, different people answer. The Russian community was of course happier during the Soviet times than nowadays as part of the EU. Estonians are on the contrary doing better now..
You say "People are tied of continious falsification and manipulations, that's why they do their questionaries for verifying the official version." Well, you were previously criticising the relevancy of surveys but online surveys are the less trusted ever. They are completely valueless. You can vote several times from different computers and most of the time from the same one. Also, with that kind of surveys you do not have a representative part of the population taking part in the survey and you cannot control it. There is absolutely no control on this kind of poll. On Russian Delfi, no Estonians voted and vice vesa on Delfi Eesti. There is a unique audience and the poll is biased, hence totallu meaningless.
